"From Soviet techies to hucksters of the 90s" - The market has decided
In the USSR, it was a shame to trade on the market, any work is held in high esteem, except for trade. It was possible to study for any specialty and find a job, there was a shortage of workers in the country (about 20 mln.). But socialism ended in the 90s, hello to the free market, which will decide everything.
Vyacheslav - email technician agricultural mechanic
Asked how you got to the market, so the collective farms disintegrated, answers, and I have a profile in agriculture. Now he sells all sorts of small things, but the "techie" did not die in him, at home there is a workshop for the soul. Recently made a mini-line of electric shashlik makers, the first on motors for barbecue, and then a screwdriver became the drive.
Dmitry - mechanical engineer
He worked as a master of industrial training, in 1996 they began to delay wages for months, and away we go. He worked as a driver, then as a builder for repairs. With your own hands built a house in the village, jack of all trades
, as a result, a donkey in the market, sells what is needed for repairs. He equipped his own stall, made welding works, illuminated display cases, etc. A "techie" also lives in it, he loves to do everything with his own hands. What's next?
The country is reviving, and it needs specialists again! A relative's daughter is studying to be a chemist, there is already a queue behind them. My junior graduated from a shipbuilding technician, entered the "rig". Another friend's son went to study as a turner, there is a terrible shortage of such specialists, and the salaries are decent.
So that, I hope young people don't have to choose where to survive, but will work in their specialties.
