Foods that I never throw away, but use in the garden
For many summer residents, a vegetable garden is a place for the soul. That is why it also needs to be fertilized, it is best to do this with folk remedies. Alternatively, you can use leftover food. Today we will focus on those products that should not be thrown away, but can be used as fertilizer for the garden.
Eggshell
Of course, eggshells are not a food product, but nonetheless. If you peeled boiled eggs or broke raw ones for frying, then do not rush to throw it away. It should be dried and crushed. Then use it as fertilizer.
The shells are rich in trace elements and minerals that will help improve yields.
Peeling vegetables
Summer residents who live in their homes most often leave the cleaning of vegetables - and this is true, since they can be used as fertilizer.
For example, the husks of onions or garlic, peeling potatoes, carrots, beets and so on can be safely distributed around the perimeter of the garden. The fertilizer will begin to rot in the soil and feed it with essential trace elements.
Fruit for compote
If you have opened a canned compote, then do not rush to throw away the fruits on the basis of which it was cooked. They can be used in the garden as fertilizer. A similar situation is with fruits, on the basis of which freshly brewed compote is prepared.
Tea or coffee
Lovers of these drinks most often use tea or coffee bean brewing to fertilize indoor plants. However, it can also be used for a vegetable garden. Steamed green tea and whole beans are best suited.
Large leaf green tea should be dried and the fertilizer is ready for use around the entire perimeter of the garden. Dry the coffee grounds in the same way.
