Recently I bought an old car, of course, everything is not new there, in a word, a constructor for adults, there is where to roam. My wiper brushes creaked dryly, I decided to find out if there are ways to refresh them without replacing them. It turned out there is an easy way.

I was going to test the recommendation, especially since need only solvent and silicone grease.

I had a solvent, so I bought only a lubricant, and then everything is very simple. It is necessary to moisten a rag with a solvent and walk a couple of times on the rubber band of the brush.

Characteristic black marks remain on the rags, we let the solvent evaporate, and can be treated with silicone.

Then you just need to apply silicone grease, which I did, then rubbed it with my fingers on the brush, that's all you can check.

Just remember to remove excess grease with the same rag. I switched on the cleaners, the sound of new rubber appeared on dry, but a trace of grease remains on the glass.

They warned about this in the recommendation, you just need to use it until it disappears. I didn't wait for that, I just wiped the windshield and the rubber bands, there were no more traces left.

Output

It seems that everything worked out and there is a result, but it feels like it's not for long. Therefore, I think it will be a temporary measure, but it is better to replace the rubber bands with new ones.
