Dear Readers! I welcome you to my next publication dedicated to #useful tips !

It seems to me that I have not shared life hacks for home and kitchen for a long time. They all come in handy with others - recipes. And fish are inexpensive, but very tasty ahead. Today I am writing in advance about how best of all, in my opinion, to cope with cleaning fish from scales.

Simple and quick ways to easily detach scales even without a bag. Fish scales no longer scatter around the kitchen when cleaning

I love fish dishes. But she only disliked the consequences of cleaning in the kitchen, when every now and then the scales stick to the cabinet, then to the floor... And therefore I tried to either buy ready-made fish without scales (expensive steaks), or cook only at the dacha in the warm season, which is called caught by family members from a local river and cleaned during yard.

But I'm not me, I seem to be leading a useful channel, not everything #life hacks I know. Here I learned and share after trial and error.

I will give two ways from all that I tried. In my opinion, these are the lightest and do not require any special devices.

The first method is suitable for fish with larger scales. It will be more difficult with small ones later. I put a metal strainer in the sink in the sink, plug it with a rag and fill it with hot tap water.

Then I put the fish in there and clean it under water with the help of a large vegetable peeler, which is always at hand. But instead of a vegetable peeler, other improvised items can also be suitable - a spoon, for example.

The scales do not scatter, but settle in the water, after draining, it is enough to collect and discard with a paper napkin.

By the way, I used to use ordinary plastic bags instead of water. But with them the whole process goes less conveniently, although the scales are easier to collect and throw away.

But not all types of fish are so easily cleaned even in warm water. Then I resort to the second method.

The second method is suitable for all types of fish, I believe. And it is the lightest, you don't even need to take a peeler, it's just easy to hold it with a spoon and the layer will be removed without any problems!

To do this, you need to prepare 2 basins. Or basin + sink. In one bowl, I pour boiling water or almost boiling water. I pour ice water into another basin or sink. I supplement the cold water with ice cubes so that the water is as cold as possible for a sharp contrast.

If you don't want to fool around with a basin, you can even scald it straight from the kettle. But carefully.

I take the pre-washed fish with a fork by the tail, so that it can be easily immersed in boiling water for 5 seconds. And immediately into the icy water.

The boiling water softens the flakes, and the sharp contrast promotes easy separation. I even noticed during the last cleaning that I didn't need a spoon, I just pulled off the scaly coat with my hands.

How do you like to clean fish? Can anyone have even easier ways?
