Mini-greenhouse for seedlings, I bought it, I'm testing it
During the purchase of various necessary things for the upcoming garden season, of course, I really want to buy something that is not very, it would seem, necessary, but what I liked.
This time I came across a mini-greenhouse with peat cups. It costs 71 rubles, it contains 12 cups. I intend to use it for growing flower seedlings.
I think it's worth trying what happens, because last season I did not manage to save a single large-flowered petunia plant. This year I ventured to put her in such a greenhouse.
In addition to a greenhouse with cups, there is also an option with peat tablets. When they are soaked, they become huge and soft. The seeds in them feel comfortable. But it is worth at least once to linger with watering - you will be left without seedlings. Therefore, I am skeptical about them.
And another option for a mini greenhouse is just plastic molds that are filled with earth. These are celluloid, very fragile, practically disposable forms. They quickly crack, and water begins to flow out of them.
In addition, there are 9 cups per block. And getting out of the glass, for example, a fragile petunia, this means endangering the other 8 plants. It is very uncomfortable. Cups should be separate, not blocks.
Therefore, I bought the first option. She took two greenhouses and filled them with earth. I do not separate the cups yet, it will be easy to do when planting.
In the first, she sowed petunias, as she was going, and in the second, parthenocarpic cucumbers.
The set includes a cover that covers the mini-greenhouse. Plants will be comfortable there, because their own microflora is created, in which a certain temperature and humidity. And you need to water very rarely.
It remains to wait for the first sprouts, and then for the development of seedlings, in order to understand whether I was justified in spending 71 rubles on such a mini-greenhouse.
