Finds for marking seedlings
The issue of fast labeling of cups is very acute for us. Usually self-adhesive was fine. But this time
- The self-adhesive was over, and sometimes it flew off the plastic
- It seemed inconceivably long to cut off a piece of ordinary scotch tape, glue the label stored on it. And the scotch tape sometimes flies off.
- Cut off a piece of double-sided tape and glue the label on it, faster, but also for a long time.
- Insert plastic spoons or knives with numbers - I just didn't like it (you can only write a number). On the eggplants, I used colored tubes from cereals and juices: each variety, its own color.
- And on tomatoes I decided to try the markers in store for this case.
Permanent colorfastness markers
The first marker we bought was fading in the sun, and pretty quickly. Therefore, I was looking for information about which markers do not fade. It turned out that permanent. And they are also different.
Not knowing which one is better, I bought two different types of permanent, colorfastness markers for all surfaces. I really liked the one that is odorless (no xylene).
Here is his work for the benefit of multisort:
It was important to quickly sow the soaked seeds in prepared containers with soil. And how not to get confused? In addition to the name, each variety has its own number written in a notebook. Just in case.
For example, for the northern bed of the greenhouse there are 14 numbers, from 1 to 14, and for the south also, from 1 to 14. These seeds are soaked separately in the beds, respectively, I will sow them, put them on germination and I will be separately for supplementary lighting.
After pouring dry soil, the inscription is seen worse, but quite well:
And now I added the water rate for sowing, the visibility has deteriorated, but still readable:
Won with the following markings:
- Speed
- Reliability: the lettering will not go anywhere, while the label may fall off.
Oh oh oh
When I started working with this marker, I was a little confused. I must say right away that the difficulty was only at the first meeting, further work is a pleasure.
So the writing nose was yellow, not black, and of course it didn't write anything. I read on the marker that you must first shake it closed.
I shook it, and there something rattled. Maybe a Chinese marriage? I put the spout on a sheet of notebook according to the instructions, I wait and wait for the paint to flow, no way! Found video, thanks to the author, he explained and showed how to use this marker.
- The ball that thundered is special
- It is necessary to press so that the rod is pressed
- The marker is equipped with a spring loaded nib with a check valve to prevent paint leaks
Did everything right, but overexposed the nose on paper (gape), the paint made a blot. And the blot, as it soon became clear, leaked onto the table. It was a disaster! After all, the marker is indelible! Fortunately, I wiped off the stain on the fresh traces with a wet cotton pad.
There are permanent markers on Wildberries from 106 p. up to 254 p.
The second marker turned out to be without bells and whistles, wrote immediately. True, there was a smell, with xylene. Like this:
You could start working with him as usual, right away
It is also indelible and colorfast. I liked it less because of the smell, and writes thinner.
Store both markers upright, nose down, and keep children away from them.
The main work awaits marker # 1 for marking these labels from Leroy Merlin:
Labeled solutions are not cheap. For a reason: nerves and strength are more expensive. Yes, and I can not be mistaken with varieties, all unfamiliar.
I hope someone will find my find useful.
How do you label the seedlings?
I would be grateful for your subscription and communication :)
