Dresser drawer falls out. What to do?

It was clear that something needed to be tweaked or repaired. But in order to understand why drawers fall out of the chest of drawers, I first had to thoroughly analyze everything. At first it seemed to me, what box falls due to worn out wheelsthat slide along the guides screwed on the sides inside the cabinet. I already wanted to go and look for new ones, but then I saw something else.

It turns out one of the walls of the dresser was slightly arched, and outward, due to which the distance between the guides on opposite sides has become larger. That's why the box began to fail. This was the real reason.

To improve the situation, it was only necessary to reduce the distance between the guides by only 5-6 mm, and then the rollers would again confidently move along their "rails" and would not go anywhere.

The boxes themselves decided not to touch, although it was possible to take off and tinker, but it would have been a little longer. First he took out the boxes, then unscrewed from the side walls on one side those guides from which the wheels jumped off.

To extend the guides slightly inward, used plastic dowels cut into rings. Self-tapping screws had to be found longer than those that stood, by the same 5 mm. I simply put the rings cut from the dowels under the guides and screwed them with new screws into the same holes. For reliability, I also added an additional self-tapping screw in the middle.

When I put the boxes in place, they just floated along the guides without a hitch and perfectly fell into place. It was possible to put something else under the guides, but this is already a matter of taste and the availability of "something" at hand.

It took about 30 minutes to resolve the issue, which, in general, is quite acceptable. I would be glad to receive your comments and assessments of this repair method.
