What to do if the seeds do not germinate. We use a miracle solution of iodine and hot pepper
Often summer residents and gardeners complain that the seeds of pepper and eggplant do not germinate after sowing into the ground. They can sit in the ground for up to a month, because they are classified as tough, which sometimes leads to despair. Tomatoes generally have good germination, but this problem can arise with them.
One friend complained to me about this, who grieved that for some reason her seedlings did not even hatch, although 2 weeks had already passed after planting the peppers.
I advised her to try one miracle remedy that will help revive the seeds and give an impetus to their germination.
Why the seeds don't sprout
Typically, the seeds may be tightly similar. Therefore, once again, there is no need to panic ahead of time, not all seeds sprout quickly.
Also, the soil selected for planting is not very successful, perhaps it has become compacted, which does not allow seedlings to germinate.
Either the soil was very moistened, that the seeds there simply did not have enough air, or they rotted.
With deep sowing of seeds, sprouts sometimes cannot hatch for a long time or do not germinate at all.
Super way for seed germination
I take a 0.5 liter jar and pour hot water into it. I add 3 drops of iodine and a pinch of ground red pepper to the jar. I stir and water crops where the seedlings do not want to sprout. Then I cover it with foil.
Usually the first shoots appear in 3-4 days. Therefore, do not rush to make new crops and wait for old shoots. Thanks to the iodine (hot) solution, dormant seeds can be awakened.
I also recommend spilling the soil with this mixture before sowing, which will stimulate plant growth, and seedlings will appear faster.
My leek did not sprout for a long time, I spilled the earth with an iodine solution, the seeds germinated after 2 days.
Also, in an iodine solution with pepper, you can soak old seeds that have expired so that they germinate quickly. You need to add a pinch of ground hot pepper (red) to the water and just a drop of iodine (no longer needed).
Other helpful tips for quick seed germination
Experts recommend choosing only high-quality seeds of proven companies for fast germination of seeds.
Before sowing, it is better to soak the seeds for 4-6 hours in a growth stimulator, for example, in "Epine-extra" (1-2 drops of the substance per half a glass of water for vegetable seeds).
More often you need to gently loosen the soil, because when watering it becomes compacted. Water stagnation should not be allowed, and it is also not worth overdrying the soil.
When seedlings appear, it is imperative to provide the plants with light, moisture and heat.
