Nowhere to place indoor plants in your small apartment? Yes, no matter how! 6 ideas to follow
Indoor plants are a fairly simple, extremely economical, but no less effective way to decorate the interior of any apartment. But the owners of small-sized apartments often deny themselves "green friends", citing as an example various reasons and arguments (narrow window sill, no free space in the room, pots take up too much space on the floor and etc.). Which, to be honest, sounds untenable!
Good afternoon dear friends!
For there are many other ways of non-standard landscaping of a tiny apartment. The main thing, as they say, is to be creative in this event, and not clumsy, stereotyped, and try use those surfaces (spaces), which somehow remain intact even after the "finish" decor. And, as it turns out, there are quite a few of them in our homes!
And to prove this fact to you, I prepared 6 original ideas for placing indoor plants in a miniature apartment.
1.Accent wall. Did you know that plants can be hung on the wall like a picture or a photograph?! Not? Then I present to you a small example of the organization of the "Garden of Eden" in a small size! At the same time, in order to implement such an idea, it does not take much. An ordinary wall hanger and a few small pots in hanging planters are enough. That, in fact, is all!
The only thing that the composition looks especially bright, stylish and beautiful, it is desirable to place it on an accent wall, while using accessories in the same color scheme (dark or light).
2.Almost tulle. It's no secret that a windowsill is a wonderful place for flowers and plants, as most of them need natural daylight. But this is not the only option for placing "green friends" in the window opening: for example, they can even be used instead of a light transparent tulle.
To do this, you need to fix several hooks above the window, and then hang flowers on them in homemade or purchased pots. You will get an extremely interesting decoration that will in no way yield to the tulle you are accustomed to.
3.Suspended terrarium. Another popular option for introducing indoor plants into a modest interior is a florarium or terrarium. It is a glass container with a special mount and a plant that is unpretentious to maintain. Place it in a place with lower traffic: for example, in the corner of a room.
This solution allows you to achieve two goals at once! Firstly, you revive the interior without large financial costs, make it visually interesting, and secondly, you gracefully zone the space in the room, thereby highlighting a place for relaxation.
4.DIY project. A great idea that can come to people who love to make something with their own hands! It consists in the manufacture of one-, two- or three-tiered shelves from a wooden board, thick twine or rope.
Such shelves can be easily attached to the wall using ordinary metal hooks and allow you to organize a real hanging garden in the four walls of any apartment.
5.Instead of things. Who said that a floor hanger cannot act as a stylish "living" art object? All you need to do is pick up different colored pots, climbing and flowering plants, and then hang them at different heights to give the dynamics of a fashionable display. AND VOIL, a cool decorative element is ready!
And if you equip such a structure with wheels, then you can make it mobile and depending on the season or move your mood, placing it further / closer to the light source or even hiding it in a secluded corner rooms.
6.Main decorative element. If you don't have any free space in your apartment (corners, wall surfaces, window openings ...), then you can try to arrange indoor plants directly above the bed. Yes, yes, why not! Unusual, but extremely effective.
Of course, for this you have to make an original harness (from several iron hooks, a strong rope and a handle from a shovel), which can withstand not only the weight of "green friends", but also bring a unique decorative touch to the interior rooms. Coy can be very promising!
