So, 11 years ago, I took out a mortgage on an apartment and immediately issued #tax deduction According to the legislation in 2010, the maximum return was possible from the amount of 1 million - regardless of how much the apartment cost. 13 percent were returned from this amount. That is, no more than 130,000 rubles could be received from the purchase of an apartment.

The amount could be divided into several owners. But since the property tax deduction can be issued only once in a lifetime, we decided to issue everything to me, and left the wife the opportunity to return the deduction for later.

It turned out that the state is ready to return 13 percent from the interest that we paid for the mortgage to the bank. For example, in a year we paid the bank about $ 500,000. rubles, of which 150 thousand went to repay the loan. This means that out of 350 thousand rubles we can get 13 percent - 45 thousand.

It is most interesting to receive such payments in the first year, when the principal amount from the payment goes to repay interest. In the early years, I got about 40 thousand interest returns.

So, in 2011-2013 I received my 130,000 rubles. He filed a declaration annually, received tax deductions on interest on a loan. Yes, you can get everything at once in a few years, but taking into account inflation, in the future you can get much less, so we made a decision - not to delay, but to do everything at once.

But in 2014, there were changes with the amounts and rules.

In 2014, the situation changed - both owners #apartment received the right to receive a tax deduction not from 1 million rubles, and from the account 2,000,000 rubles for each. Unfortunately, I have already received my deduction, but my wife has not. Then friends began to give advice on a possible return of funds to his wife!

We decided to try it! Submitted documents for the return of 13% to his wife under the new rules. We thought that the return would be the same for interest and for the apartment. The cameral examination lasted almost 3 months.If you are applying to the tax office, be prepared to wait!

After 3 months, a call from the tax office finally happened.

The girl asked to drive up and correct the mistakes in the declaration. In a personal meeting, she said that the wife is indeed entitled to a tax deduction. Unfortunately, under the new rules, interest payments cannot be received! But the wife has the right to receive 260,000 rubles for the apartment, so to speak "for the body" - there is definitely such an amendment.

But, after the head of the tax office got acquainted with our documents, they landed us (( It turned out that the new law applies only to those transactions that were concluded after 2014! So, unfortunately, we failed to return 260 thousand rubles!

It seems not scary, but the "sediment" remained! Feeling that #the state seems to have decided to take care of us a little more, but still not very much!
