I can say with complete confidence that even today some of the tricks from the magazine are useful, although they seem strange. We have already written about some of the secrets of the masters. Fasteners
Found some tips about screws. When it is necessary to make sure that the screwed-in screw cannot be unscrewed, the slot is cut off with a file from above (see the picture from the magazine below). It will be possible to wrap it up, but it will not be possible to turn it back out.
One master proposes to fasten the bending floorboards together in such an original way. Screw the screws into the slots between 2 wooden floor boards every 50 cm. Drown the heads so as not to interfere. See the image, there is more clearly.
How to screw a screw into the end of a chipboard? Drill a hole and fill the hole with Moment glue or similar. Epoxy glue will not work. Wait 24 hours and screw in the screw. Chipboard will not split, will not delaminate.
Soldering iron
Upgrade your soldering iron. Make a cut in the sting. The solder will hold better and more.
The soldering iron is an excellent tool for welding polyethylene. A part of the handle with a non-scratching nib is simply put on the tip.
If the temperature of the soldering iron tip is not enough, wrap the body with steel. This will increase the temperature of the tip.
Tools
When working with a shovel, ax or other tool, you can get calluses. Some people don't like to wear gloves. They are inconvenient to work with. AND. Prokopyenko advised putting on a foam ring on the palm of your hand. Such protection will protect against the formation of corns and will not interfere.
Folding shovel. You can do it yourself. In the picture, you will see a structure where the bayonet of the shovel is reclined 180 degrees. The nut fixes the tilt. From such a shovel, you can make a hoe by directing a bayonet under 90 grams.
By knocking off 2 bars and 1 board, you can get a convenient device for carpentry.
