Wood is the most popular material in all ages. It is used in construction, house decoration, etc. It is not always possible (especially for beginners) to obtain a qualitatively flat wood surface. Therefore, they use grinding. It is a rather tedious process, but without it, quality cannot be achieved.
Let's talk about grinding and one trick of the masters, which allows you to simplify the grinding process and improve its quality.
Grinding is carried out by hand or using tools. Anyone who constantly works with wood has an eccentric, surface grinder or other machine. But who starts doing carpentry, such tools are not available.
Previously, they used a regular block with fixed sandpaper. When there are no tools, it is problematic to grind the ends of the products. The ends have a denser texture, so sanding is difficult.
1. To simplify the sanding process, to reduce labor costs, ordinary putty will help.
We take the putty on a putty knife and apply it to the place that we want to process. No need to apply a thick layer. Just cover the end with a putty completely to clog the pores.
Use a spatula to remove excess putty.
Now you need to wait until the putty dries out. Then we take a block of sandpaper and grind it by hand or using tools. We work until the darker fibers appear and there are no white spots from the putty. It is necessary to grind well. Then you can cover the wood with wood stain, paint, etc.

3. Many probably have a jigsaw. From old, blunt files from a jigsaw, you can make a good grinding machine.
