A mistake that makes craftsmen lose money and time! Thought only after the words of a friend!
Hello everyone! Today I want to tell you one story that may be useful for novice craftsmen! And it also applies to more experienced ones. It's just that experienced specialists have probably already drawn conclusions for themselves a long time ago that can be drawn from my story.
I have been engaged in construction for more than a dozen years. Yes, there were many difficulties and many mistakes! I gained experience and professionalism in the brigade, and then went on my "independent long voyage". At the beginning of this journey, I was very lucky to meet a man thanks to whom I have always had a job! He solved all problems and closed legal issues. But then it happened that everything collapsed... But this is not about that! And that I had to start looking for customers on my own. Search, communicate, negotiate! And this work was often more difficult than self-made repairs. Because people are unpredictable and not always pleasant creatures!
There were cases when I was simply "thrown" by the Customers. I worked. Sometimes a whole month, and then left without a penny in my pocket! This, alas, happened more than once! But over time, this "kidalovo" faded away! Of course, the reason for this was age, confidence, experience, and well, well-formed relationships. Probably every master should go through this! But still, suddenly, thanks to my advice, someone will be able to avoid it ...
Once, at a gathering with a friend, we began to discuss my "failed negotiations". The customer asked me to take care of the renovation of his house. There was a lot of work. Of course, I was interested in such cooperation! The customer asked to come for inspection and budgeting. As a result, the negotiations failed. Because the object was in another city, and I asked for payment for leaving. To which I heard a lot of not the most pleasant words in the phone receiver ...

At the same time, I always seem to have enough work. But losing such an object was a shame. Maybe it was worth wasting time and money, but to go, suddenly everything would have turned out well! To which a friend said to me:
“What are you doing! Everything worked out great! You should always choose a Customer, not Orders! I realized this a long time ago! "
At that moment, it was like an electric shock! Some kind of realization came that there is truth in these words! Indeed, when I was chasing a good object, while feeling that the Customer is a person, gently speaking, "not very good", there were always problems - either it was impossible to work, or with payment threw. As a result - wasted energy, nerves, time.
As a result, after this conversation, I started thinking! And he began to listen to his intuition. If I see that the relationship with the Customer has not worked out, I say goodbye and leave! I think that all masters do this. Work - it always appears! The main thing is to do it well! Then you do not have to deal with people who are unpleasant to you! And nobody will throw you!
