How to quickly open a can without an opener? Showing a simple army way
When I served in the army, it was a real holiday for us, when parents or relatives brought whole bags of groceries (or sent parcels) to someone. At such moments, the happy owner of the provisions became the center of attention of our entire platoon, because he always shared his supplies with others (well, how could it be otherwise?). To many children who lived in villages, their parents often gave home canned food (tomatoes, cucumbers, stew, etc.) and this was the greatest delicacy for us. The only snag was to open the can, because no one had a bottle opener.
But we have there was always a bayonet-knife at hand, so we razkurochivali lids for them, as best we could. It was still a sight! But one of my colleagues was able to surprise us, he turned out to be a real master at opening tin lids! Then we even came up with a nickname for him - Vitka Opener. So, he opened the can (completely removing the lid) so quickly and effectively that we remembered this method for the rest of our lives and subsequently only used it!
Now I will share with you this simple way.. Of course, I don’t have a bayonet knife, but this is not a problem, because an ordinary kitchen knife will do.
And so, we set the tip of the knife closer to the edge of the lid, turning the blade slightly away from the cent, and with a blow of the palm we punch through the lid.
Then we cut the lid to the very end.
Then, stepping back a few centimeters from the first cut, we repeat the operation in the opposite direction, so that the cut lines connect at the original point. You should get such a triangle.
Pry off the sharp end of the triangle with a knife and slightly lift it up.
Then we apply the plane of the knife on top and carefully bend the corner of the triangle so that it catches on to it. And then we just start winding the tin around the knife until the very end, until it comes off completely. Watching a short video.
Then you need to break the sealing gum with your hands.
And that's it! Now it will not be difficult to remove the lid from the can. We just take it and, with a little effort, remove it by hand. Some 10 seconds and the bank is open!
