Didn't know how to cover the porch steps in a cold room and accidentally found a great option

The beautiful carved porch from the courtyard to the house has not yet acquired its final appearance. Its site is not covered with any material, as it was planned for the project. It is simply hammered out of planks.

At first we wanted to cover it with plywood, then with some kind of slabs. There was even an option to lay linoleum. But all of these options have a number of disadvantages.

Therefore, all winter we used the porch, laying cardboard from the furniture on it. And then, one day, having arrived at a building materials store, in one of the departments they saw rolls of floor coverings. They were called Sintelon Staze.

When we looked more closely, we realized that this is exactly what we need for our porch. Such carpets, which have a special purpose, are used precisely in places with heavy traffic - in hallways or on stairs.

These tracks are, in fact, carpet, with a very short pile applied to a rubber base. It is thanks to this basis that they do not slip on the floor, do not get wet and do not wear out.

We needed just such a coating - rubber-based. She is not afraid of frost, because in winter in the yard the temperature can drop to -10 degrees. We found this out last harsh winter. Plastic bases that are used only at freezing temperatures will not work for us.

In addition, it is very important that the coating is completely non-slip, because this is a staircase. And on slippery surfaces, any awkward movement threatens serious injury.

I liked the color of the blue coating, which has a shorter pile. It is a short nap that is another requirement. After all, this is the premises of the courtyard, in which we still have an earthen floor. Therefore, a lot of dust flies there. And a pleasant deep blue color makes you want to touch it, it is so attractive.

True, there is also a gray option with stripes along the edge. But I didn't like it. Of course the color is nice, classic carpet design. But I didn't like it. And his pile is higher. That is, more dust will be crammed into it.

In general, the color range of such coatings is quite large; any color will be delivered to order. Everyone, I think, will find something that suits him.

Therefore, we ordered a blue track, only slightly wider than available, to fit our size.

The price is quite serious, gray is for 1 meter - 790 rubles. But the blue one, which we need, turned out to be almost half the price due to the short nap. Well, one more plus to our choice.

Now our staircase will take on its final form.
