Why the indirect heating boiler does not work: as it turned out, it's all about the safety valve
After a break of 2 months, while we were not in the house, we decided to launch an indirect heating boiler, which is used to heat the water. Water flows into the kitchen, upper bathroom, bathroom and heated towel rails, which are also used to heat bathrooms.
We have a Polish-made boiler, Galmet SG KL 60. It has good characteristics, is easy to operate, perfectly maintains water temperature, and due to this is very economical.
Serves faithfully for two years. It was recently checked by specialists who came to us in the last days of free service, this was three months ago. And then, suddenly, he stopped taking water. That is, the impression is that there is an airlock in it, which does not allow water to enter.
I called the company that made us a water supply and heating system, and the foreman advised me to disassemble the valve located at the entrance. Having connected it directly to the water supply pipe, I saw that everything worked wonderfully and the water was flowing.
I went to the store to buy a new valve. The seller immediately realized that my water was not going, that is, such valves suffer from this disease. I bought a new valve, assembled it and the problem was solved. Now I think that you need to always have it at hand, apparently, this is the weak point of my water heater.
Overall, Galmet can recommend. It has non-contact, "dry" shades that do not come into contact with water. This, of course, increases their service life. In addition, a magnesium anode is installed in it, which prevents scale settling.
Our system is equipped with an expansion tank for increased safety. Actually, therefore, I can safely remove the valve, which is out of order, if this happens again.
The water in the house is always hot, and thanks to the circulation pump, it runs from the tap immediately and you don't need to let cold water pass through to wait for it to be hot.
