Canned vegetables with store prices are comparable to canned foods from your own cellar - you can be horrified at the difference

I want to tell you about a small study that I did for myself in order to roughly estimate how much the canned food that is in my cellar cost.

And the reason for this was that I saw canned squash in liter jars in Magnet. The price of 199 rubles for them led me to a stupor. Honestly, the squash grows in such quantities that they are not considered for some value. Yes, and there are them, except for me, no one is in a hurry.

I canning a few jars to lay out on the table for beauty purposes. They are bright, sunny and delicious, crunchy.

After that, I wondered how much canned vegetables cost. After all, I always walk past these shelves without looking, because I know that in my cellar this stuff will be enough for another couple of years. Of course, my jars are not so beautiful in appearance, the lids on them are also cheap, but the contents are 5 points!

It turns out that tomatoes in liter jars cost from 60 to 90 rubles. But I have tomatoes, amazingly tasty, dozens of them in liter jars.

After all, a liter can is eaten at a time, so there is no point in doing little for our family.

Cucumbers, in general, struck my imagination. From 75 to 160 rubles 900 grams. A two-liter jar costs 309 rubles. For what, tell me?

Zucchini caviar is the most popular type of homemade preparations, I make a lot of it and eat it until the new year, so that it does not deteriorate, since I do not put vinegar in it.

And in the store it costs from 64 to 95 rubles for 0.5 liters. What was put there for such an amount?

In addition, I make sure to make lecho. This is the second most popular salad in winter. Lecho goes well with pasta and vegetables, that is, it is constantly in use. But its price from 111 to 170 rubles in the store gives reason to be more careful with your workpieces.

I make eggplant salad for myself, my family doesn't like it very much. Now I understand that I practically eat a delicacy for 119 rubles - a 0.5 liter jar.

Now let's think about spending on our canned food. I have enough cans, but I have to buy lids. They cost from 4 to 8 rubles apiece. Salt, sugar, pepper are purchased, of course, these are expenses. Vegetables, I will not count, this is a thankless task, labor is invested in them.

But, reading the composition on the labels, I shudder a little - solid E. And I know everything that I put in every jar to the last pepper. So you will wonder if it is so bad to roll up your jars, as many say.
