Three times more effective than a shovel: how to make a device for digging a garden

The summer cottage season is starting, which means it's time to dig up the garden. No easy spring job! You can dig up in different ways: with a shovel, a walk-behind tractor, with the help of a hired worker. But there is an option to speed up the process and make the work easier. It is worth making a reservation right away - this device is not intended for the development of virgin lands, deep or two-tiered digging of the soil. It is only suitable for working in a well-groomed vegetable garden, where there are no roots, stones and other "surprises".

What is necessary

For a miracle pitchfork, and this device cannot be called otherwise, you need:

• corner 30 * 30 * 3 - 1.7 meters;
• reinforcement d12 - 1.75 meters;
• professional pipe 30 * 30 * 3 - 1.7 meters.

From the tools you need a standard set - welding, grinder, hammer.

How to make a wonder pitchfork

First of all, it is necessary to weld a frame with a size of 600 * 250 mm from the corners. Weld a professional pipe to the frame, which will act as a cutting. You can, of course, make a tulle for a wooden handle - this way the tool will be lighter. But it should be borne in mind that the load on this part of the tool will be greater than that of a conventional shovel and the wooden handle may break.

Next, you need to cut the reinforcement into pieces of 250 mm and weld them securely to the frame on the side opposite to the handle. The pitch between the teeth is 85 mm. This completes the digging device for the garden!

You need to work with this tool as follows: stick the teeth into the soil until they stop and pull the handle through the lever, which is created by the frame. Thanks to the width of the device, you can dig up the garden three times more efficiently and faster than with a conventional shovel.
