Top dressing for Luke, which Grandma told me about. The harvest pleases every year
I have always loved my garden, I love and will love! Even though my plot is small, I always try to grow as many carrots, beets, beets, cucumbers, tomatoes and, of course, onions as possible.
Everyone in my family loves onions. I add this versatile vegetable to almost all meals, unless it's ice cream or cake. In order to grow large, healthy bulbs in a minimal area, I periodically made nutritional supplements. Unfortunately, not all have proven to be effective.
Last year, I decided to increase the yield of onions when I remembered the feeding recipe that my grandmother had told me about. A fairly simple and effective method always helped granny, and there was not only enough onion for harvesting, but also for the whole winter.
Miraculous recipe
To prepare top dressing, you will need the following components:
1. Half a kilo of young nettle.
2. Fresh pressed yeast - 300 g
3. Black bread - 200 g.
4. Warm water - 10 liters.
As you can see, there is nothing difficult to access, you will have to spend only on yeast and a loaf of bread.
It is advisable to chop freshly cut nettles so that they better give up all their nutrients. Place the nettle in a suitable container and fill it with a bucket of warm water.
Add yeast there, break up fresh or dried rye bread. Well, a miracle - the onion feed is almost ready! The container must be covered with a lid and placed in a warm place for at least two days.
What is the use of feeding?
Each of the components of the fertilizer mixture has its own nutritional properties, which favorably affect the growth and formation of the bulb.
· Nettle. Contains essential oils, has a disinfecting effect, promotes the development of the root system.
· Yeast. They saturate the earth with oxygen and nitrogen, promote the rapid processing of organic compounds.
· Bread. It has a positive effect on soil fertility.
Top dressing should be applied under the root of the onion in a pre-moistened soil. For best results, it is advisable to add the yeast mixture at least three times per season.
The first time - in early May, the second - in June or July, when active plant growth begins, the third - in September, when the onion heads are gaining mass.
Thanks to the fact that I used my grandmother's long-forgotten recipe, the onions were born wonderfully well! Now healthy and strong onions will always grow in my garden. Hopefully the current harvest will last until next spring!
