Scandals between neighbors are different: loud, quiet or... mean. The first two options are clear - people either swear with relish, or simply do not say hello. And what is the third, sneaky version of the quarrel? Our interlocutor Denis will tell you about this.

Half a year of calm

Last fall, I bought a house in the suburbs. Nothing unusual - a house is like a house, there are millions of them in our country. But I came across such a neighbor that you would not wish on the enemy. But first things first.

To my right is a lonely woman in her sixties. At first glance, she is the most ordinary pensioner. The first six months we only greeted her, there was no time to talk.

In the spring, when everything revived, we finally met. Anna Mikhailovna - that was her name. During the day, she poked around in the garden, and spent warm evenings on a bench with the same pensioners not far from home.

Helped from a pure heart

Our water is taken from wells. One evening I heard that a neighbor's pump had been running for like an hour without stopping. The garden at that time was not watered, and she was not at home. I thought that somewhere her tap was leaking or a pipe had burst, and the house would now be flooded.

I ran out into the street to find a neighbor and report my guess. Found it, said about the pump and we quickly went home. At home, the taps were closed, the pipes were intact, nothing was leaking. I checked the subfloor - it was also dry. It was in the pump - its pressure sensor failed, so it threshed in vain.

I suggested to de-energize the pump and change the relay in the morning. So he did: in the evening he turned off the power, and in the morning he began to repair the pump. Disassembled, looked, the pump itself is far from new; in addition to the broken pressure switch, the pear was torn. I think I'll help a single woman fix the motor.

I bought the necessary spare parts, brought it, went through it, lubricated it, started it up - it works. He climbed into the well, installed it, reported to Anna Mikhailovna for the work done. He did not say that he spent 800 rubles on spare parts - he did not upset the woman. The neighbor thanked for a long time, treated me to tea.

As luck would have it, the pump has a "cover"

But the happiness did not last long - after three days the pump "flew". I don’t know what happened, I was accused of all mortal sins even before I came home. A neighbor called some craftsmen, they changed the pump and ripped off 8500 rubles. According to their version, the motor simply burned out. Naturally, I remained guilty of damage to property.

When I arrived home, an angry Anna Mikhailovna was already waiting for me, who shouted throughout the street that I had stolen spare parts from her pump, and indeed, I had deceived a defenseless lonely woman. She cursed me, my wife and children at the top of her voice. She promised to put him in jail for stealing property.

That evening she portrayed a deadly tragedy and the audience gathered at this theater. I was already ready to give money for this damn pump, but she did not quit with insults, curses and swearing. In general, when I could not calm her down, I just sent Mikhailovna three letters. But then she had a pseudo-fainting spell and one of the spectators called an ambulance. This ended the conversation.

War

The next day I tried to talk to her, but it was useless. I also turned out to be guilty of a pressure surge and an alleged heart attack. Anna Mikhailovna said that she would write to all authorities until I was imprisoned for theft of parts and moral damage.

She kept her word - she wrote wherever possible. Naturally, this did not work and I will not focus on this. After the neighbor realized the delusional nature of her writings, she calmed down for a while. At the sight of me or my wife, she made an evil face, spat in our direction and turned away.

I got tired of this, and somehow I tried to give money for the ill-fated pump. Anna Mikhailovna did not take the money and cursed me up to the seventh knee, defiantly all over the street. I resigned myself and decided not to pay attention to her anymore.

Damage

For a month everything was relatively calm, and then she took and cold-bloodedly poisoned my cat because the animal allegedly ruined the flowers in her flower bed. She threw the cat over the fence with the words: "Take your dead meat!" Then she did not admit to the version of the poisoning. And I could not prove anything.

Two weeks later, raspberries, currants and cherries growing by the fence began to wither. At that time I was on a business trip, but my wife said that one evening there was a strong smell of chlorine and acid. The neighbor held the defense here too, when I wanted to deal with her.

But even on this she did not calm down and continued to mischief. What she just didn’t do - and smeared the handle of the gate, excuse me for the details, with excrement; and she put some damage on us - she threw some needles into the yard, the remains of church candles and burnt pieces of paper with spells.

So what do you do about it?

With the onset of cold weather, the war temporarily stopped. In early April, I put up a high fence between the courtyards, but I think this will provoke my neighbor even more. She was already shouting that the sun did not hit her windows ...
