What to put in a hole with potatoes to get up to a bucket of harvest from a bush: a proven method

Fertilizers when planting potatoes is a controversial topic. Someone says that the ash should be poured, and someone that it is impossible in any case. Some, in general, advise putting a ball of foil in the hole, which supposedly feeds the earth with the most important trace elements. But this, of course, is from the realm of fantasy. We recommend a proven method, using which you can get up to a bucket of large potatoes from one bush.

What is necessary

To protect the potatoes and give them food, and to collect a rich harvest in the fall, you will need:

• urea (urea);
• wood ash;
• onion peel;
• coriander seeds;
• water.

In what order to place fertilizers

Pour one teaspoon of urea at the bottom of the hole. Next, pour a small handful of ash on top, about a third of a regular plastic cup. After that, put a small handful of onion husks into the hole - this is approximately a full plastic glass by volume. Mix everything well.

Don't overdo it with urea! In case of an overdose of carbamide, the opposite effect can be obtained!

The next step is to sprinkle the resulting mixture with a thin layer of soil to avoid contact of the seed with the fertilizer. After that, put the seed potato tuber into the hole and fill it with a liter of water. When the water is absorbed, cover the hole with soil.

But that's not all! Finally, be sure to plant a couple of coriander seeds in the hole. This scented herb protects the potato bush from the Colorado potato beetle.

What do these fertilizers give

Urea (carbamide) is a source of nitrogen, which is essential for plants. Onion husks are rich in trace elements; it strengthens the bush, enhances its immunity and helps to adapt to difficult conditions. Ash protects tubers from fungi and bacteria that can cause plant disease.

With this planting method, you will get a good harvest of large potatoes!
