We bought a kitchen, but what kind of “apron” to choose on the wall - we argue to the point of hoarseness
Recently, more and more often I understand that buying a kitchen unit is far from the end of the problem, but only its beginning. At first they argued about which stove to buy, then which sink, then where to install the sockets. And now it turns out that there is another problem. After all, before installing the kitchen, you need to decide what kind of apron will be on the wall near the desktop.
Previously, there would be no such problem - tiles and that's it. It was fixed for centuries, and used with pleasure. And now there is such a choice of wall panels that the eyes run up.
There are a lot of options in stores, a wide variety. For example, I would be satisfied with just a white panel on the wall - it is always clean, all the dirt is visible and not expensive. I saw this option on samples - I liked it.
You can do something monochromatic, not striking.
But since we have a wood-like countertop, you can choose an apron of the same color, but a tone darker or lighter, so that there is no monotony.
But my wife did not support me, she wants the apron to be bright and cheerful. The kitchen is calm, so you need to do something more modern, otherwise, you see, it's boring.
Of course, she was supported by the children, who immediately found a bunch of options with all sorts of strange pictures.
Since the imitation of brick was made on the wall of his son's room after the renovation, which he is very proud of, because it is fashionable, the toy offered him a “brick” apron in the kitchen too. Of course, I myself understand that it is not the best option, but I decided to tease him.
The daughter immediately fell in love with the tropical panel, as she dreams of being in the tropics. When asked what would happen if she didn’t like the tropics, they didn’t receive an answer.
And then, passing through the halls of the shopping center, I saw rolls with a pattern on the floor and wondered what it is? The rolls are quite funny pictures - here are the tropics, and berries in a huge size, and delicate flowers.
Coming closer, I could not believe my eyes - these were just kitchen aprons! 3 meters for only 1200 rubles. And wall panels cost at least 5,000 per linear meter! I figured that if these cheap aprons were changed even every year, they would still pay off.
But my family, of course, did not support me. They, you see, do not want to decorate their kitchen so cheaply.
And I very much regretted that I had not seen such a thing before. I would have told the collectors to convince the family that this was the plan. They would attach the panels I bought in advance to the wall and everyone was happy with the beautiful decorative aprons.
Therefore, I strongly advise those who choose kitchens to immediately resolve the issue of wall decoration, so as not to overpay and then run around the shops in search of the best option.
