How to wash dishes more economically
In our family, it was immediately established like this - one prepares food, the other washes the dishes. But, compared to cooking, washing a dirty frying pan is just hellish torment, so we just left the dishes until the morning, and in the morning, if necessary, washed something.
May all the cleanest people forgive me!
There were so many scandals in this regard that I simply cannot even count. But 2 years ago we moved and installed a Hotpoint dishwasher in the apartment for 17 thousand rubles. Today, by the way, this will cost about 25. This is a budget model without a timer and other fancy features, but there is protection against leaks.
As a result, we no longer wash the dishes with our hands. We load, put the pill, and after a few hours we get the cleanest plates.
In this article, I decided to calculate what would be cheaper, wash it by hand or buy a dishwasher
In addition to the cost of the machine, we had to buy a tee crane for 400 rubles, and I connected it myself - no more difficult than a washing machine.
To operate such a machine, you need electricity, water and detergents. You can additionally buy dishwasher salt, it costs from 100 to 400 rubles and a pack is enough for 3-4 months. You can also take a rinse aid, which helps to remove residual detergents and speeds up the drying process. Its cost is about 300 rubles for 3-4 months.
And tablets for washing are the main component for washing. Basically, manufacturers produce three-in-one tablets, where there are already salts and rinses. But even with one tablet you can wash the dishes with high quality.
Electricity - the machine spends about 0.9 kWh per cycle for three hours. Daily washing will cost about 5.70 rubles. For comparison, a washing machine at a temperature of 60 degrees spends electricity for 5 rubles per wash, and a vacuum cleaner per hour of work - 4.5 rubles.
The cost of water for one cycle of work will be about 66 kopecks.
If we add up all the components, we get about 26 rubles for one wash, and in a month it will be about 520 rubles, if you use it 5 times a week.
How much does it cost to wash the dishes by hand?
It may seem like you don't need any expense to wash the dishes by hand, but this is not the case. We will need a mixer, a sink, a sewer connection. As well as detergent, light and water. For the experiment, I saved up the dishes until the entire sink was full and washed it in the sink.
As a result, I spent: 10 liters of water for 4.75 rubles, 2 kopecks for electricity, which illuminated the kitchen, and dishwashing liquid - another 1.25 rubles. I won't count the sponge. As a result, I spent a little more 6 rubles, what in a month comes out almost 200. And the dishwasher has 526.
Is it worth overpaying 326 rubles a month?
I think it's worth it, because the dishwasher saves our time, which is the most precious thing we have!
In addition, you can save on pills by choosing inexpensive ones, or you can buy according to a special offer, you can wash dishes at night if there are dual-zone sensors, and you can also use the eco mode in the typewriter!
Here is such a simple arithmetic! Everyone decides for himself how it is more convenient and profitable for him! For us, family, time and nerves are more expensive than 326 rubles a month!
