Friends, greetings to all. The further the construction of my house goes, the more I discover new things for myself. And this arouses even more interest in the construction process as a whole.

• Some fundamentals have not changed for decades. For example, foundation technology.
• Something is updated every year. Let's say facade finishing technologies.
• And there are materials that were very popular, then disappeared, and now they are being reborn in a modern guise.

The most striking example for me is slate.

If you look at the buildings that are 20 years old and older, then absolutely all roofs will have slate.

In Soviet times, it seems to me that there was an absolute monopoly of slate, and other material was simply not used. And let's be honest with ourselves:
