A simple solution that allows me to pump out the sump less often
Hello everyone! This article is intended for those who did not spend money on expensive plastic septic tanks with overflow wells, aeration columns and other pribluda not all necessary. I am writing for those who dug an ordinary cesspool with reinforced concrete rings in their summer cottage.
So, a typical situation: 2-3 weeks, and one ring is already filled with gray waters. If there are 5-6 rings, then pumping takes 2-3 months, but if the soil is such that there is no way to go deep?
A simple solution will come to the rescue. About him - below.
Friends, look: all types of drains that come out of your house can be divided into two groups.
- faecal effluent (out of the toilet);
- water drains (kitchen, washbasin, bath and shower, bidet, etc.)
And you can remove these two types of drains not into one common pipe, which is fraught with clogging due to fecal deposits and urinary stones, but into two different ones.
We drive water from the kitchen and bathroom into the first pipe and, accordingly, into a separate sewer. The maximum that will happen to this system is soap and fat deposits.
We drive fecal drainage from the toilet through the second pipe into the septic tank.
What will it give?
Everything is quite simple: the water from the kitchen, not burdened with feces, will be easily and quickly absorbed into the ground. Unless, of course, you have clay or rocky soil.
But the second septic tank can be pumped out less often, which I wrote about in the title of the article. By the way, in the summer you can put special bacteria in it that will process its contents, thereby delaying the call of the sewers.
