5 dangerous objects in the house that everyone is used to
The house in the usual sense is a fortress in which we feel safe. Some common objects in everyday life are a real health hazard. If close people are often sick, then there is a reason to look closely at these objects, perhaps they are the cause of allergies, bad mood and fatigue. I will tell you about five sources of danger.
Carpets
The fibers of carpets attract dust, hair, and small debris. This provokes the appearance of allergies, shortness of breath and, as a result, fatigue. Natural or artificial pile requires regular professional cleaning, carpets must be chemically cleaned at least once a month.
Artificial coatings are also insidious in that the pile can be attached to the base with glue and painted over with chemical paints. These substances are toxic and are released into the air. All this can cause headaches, fatigue, and drowsiness.
The least harm comes from natural carpets, without glue and dyes. The carpet should be cleaned once a month to remove stubborn dust and dirt.
Wood panel furniture
Furniture is increasingly made from chipboard, making it cheap, lightweight and comfortable. Such furniture is dangerous with formaldehyde glue bases, which are impregnated with wood chips before pressing. The release of glue vapors into the air can irritate the respiratory system of a person, especially in childhood.
When buying such furniture, you need to be interested in quality, production technologies and ask for a certificate, which should indicate the safety parameters for a person.
Shelves with books, disks
The book, as a source of knowledge, pleasure and interesting stories, is priceless. Along with this, books require a certain amount of care. They collect a huge amount of dust on their surface if they are on open shelves. And germs and sometimes insects gather between the pages.
If you take such a book in hand, then reading will end with an attack of asthma or allergies. It is safer to store books under glass; once a month, clean the shelves and books from dust with a dry cloth.
Desktop light sources
I like to read books before bed, and the lamp on the bedside table helps me to see the text. I recently learned that together with lighting, a lamp emits harmful electromagnetic waves. Their number is many times greater than that which is safe for the body.
The recommendation is reduced only to reducing the time spent under such a lamp. It is better to read in daylight, and turn on the lamp for a short time if necessary before going to bed.
Hair dryer
The hair dryer has become a common hair care tool. But the radiation of electromagnetic waves is so great that it makes it very dangerous. A special danger is that the hair dryer is always near the head during operation.
Now I try to use a hairdryer less often, only when absolutely necessary, although the model I use meets all safety requirements.
