Device for precise cutting of sheet materials with a hand-held circular saw
Greetings.
I found this device on the WOOD magazine website.
According to the author of the device, it works so well when cutting sheet materials that he deliberately took a small hand-held circular saw so that it only worked with this device.
At the base of the fixture, a 1/4-inch - 6.35 mm thick MDF sheet was used. (In our stores, I met sheets of smooth MDF with a thickness of 5 mm)
The dimensions of this sheet are taken as 300x760 mm, which is quite enough for most cutting tasks.
In addition, the millimeter scale on the fixture allows you to set the size for cutting without complicated measurements.
During manufacturing, it is important to secure the guide bars parallel edges of the base, and set the circular saw strictly perpendicular guides.
After fixing the circular, you need to make a cut in the base of the device, and then remove the saw and stick the tape with millimeter markings from the cut. The zero markings naturally need to be placed at the edge of the cut.
The guide block must be made to fit snugly against the slats. A bar with cutouts is attached to it from above, and another bar is pressed against the bottom with the help of bolts with thumbs.
And upon completion, you need to re-attach the saw and use.
Thanks for reading. I would be glad to have your support in the form of a like and a subscription to the channel. And see other publications on the channel.

P.S. I also invite you to your site.
