Often, after gluing with superglue, the fingers are covered with a crust of this glue. I used to go around with this crust for a couple of days. But now there is a super glue cleaner. For example:

Fresh superglue will rub off well. Helped to clean and pollution from polyurethane foam. This cleaner has an acetone odor and a gel consistency. And apparently superglue can be cleaned with regular acetone.

In the comments in the article I glued the breakage with baking soda super glue. I explain the secret of the gluing speed and strength of this adhesive mixture readers wrote that superglue is cleaned with an inexpensive product sold at any pharmacy. Called dimexide. I decided to check.

To do this, I made two samples on plastic, two drops: just superglue on the left, superglue + baking soda on the right.

The samples with glue were completely frozen, moistened them with Dimexide and began to rub with a cotton pad. But nothing dissolved. As a result, when Dimexide dried, the samples turned white. Superglue on your fingers too. But the glue on the fingers did not dissolve. Apparently, Dimexide only destroys the thin top layer of superglue, but does not dissolve it.

Dimexide cleans well from polyurethane foam. An article about it here

But be careful, it is not safe to keep your fingers in contact with it for a long time. It is strongly absorbed into tissues and affects the skin.

I decided to continue the experiment and moistened the samples with an acetone compound from a tube with a cleaner. The pure superglue did not dissolve at all (the surface part was blurred), and the superglue + soda became surprisingly soft and could be easily torn off the substrate.

So plain acetone is probably the best way to remove superglue.

Superglue also slowly, but still dissolves boric acid. Many people erase superglue with nail polish remover. It also contains acetone.

Another easy way, if the superglue remains on your fingers, is to scrub with salt and water. Or grease with petroleum jelly or any hand cream. This will exfoliate the superglue faster.
