So most of modern batteries, due to the characteristics of the binder material, lose about 40% of their original capacity after 500 charge / discharge cycles. And Japanese scientists have found a unique bonding material that is several times superior to the existing one.

The new material is called bis-imino-acenaphthenequinone-paraphenylene (BP). So the use of the new material made it possible to save up to 95% of the battery capacity even after 1700 charge / discharge cycles.
