Automatic ventilation of the greenhouse with solar panels. Simple diagram for self-assembly
IN this articleI showed the options for the manufacture of systems for automatic ventilation of the greenhouse. Their work is based on hydraulic expansion and opening of a greenhouse door or window. There, in the comments in this article, one of the readers shared the way how he airs his greenhouse:
Solar battery 5 V and 1 A (15x20 cm) and fan 12x12 cm from the computer (connected as a light bulb and a battery). I put one structure on blowing into the greenhouse (at the bottom from the end), and the second on blowing out (on top of the other end). Works from sunrise to sunset. It creates air pressure even in calm weather and there is access to carbon dioxide and excess moisture goes away (it is dry in the greenhouse). You can sleep longer in the morning, and not run to open the doors. It has been working for the third year. Everything is just super!
The scheme can be represented as follows:
I heard that they put something similar, but more powerful, in large greenhouse farms:
But that you can use this scheme for your greenhouse - somehow the thought did not come. 5V coolers can be purchased at any computer store.
And solar panels (panels) are best ordered in Chinese online stores. We need a panel power of at least 2.5 watts, or better, as the reader wrote, 5 watts.
This variation says a 5W solar panel. I doubt it. Judging by the dimensions of the panel, it is 14.5x8.9 cm - there is a power of about 2.5 watts. But here on the panel there is a driver for charging the phone and a USB connector. You can even recharge your phone if you want. And so, we solder the contacts on the back side - and the cooler in the sun will work immediately. Buyers pictures:
5V solar panels are also available on aliexpress. Here a choice of six options for different powers (with a current from 150 mA to 840 mA), but without a charging driver.
The solar panel in the greenhouse should be placed facing the south side. It will need to be fixed in a frame made of plastic corners glued to a piece of polycarbonate (pour sealant along the edges of the panel). And fix the polycarbonate itself to the metal frame of the greenhouse.
The fact that this circuit is powered by a solar battery with a power of 2 W can be seen from a short video:
Those. such a small panel in sunny weather is quite enough for the cooler to work.
I would also add self-closing shutters (in the form of horizontal shutters) to the cooler, which will be installed for blowing. In the absence of air flow, they would block the exit and warm air would not come out at night. They can be made of thin plastic like a check valve in the ventilation system.
Whoever used such a scheme in his greenhouse for airing it - write in the comments. And post your photos there. Your experience will be useful to many.
