HDPE pipes: fast, convenient, but... very expensive. I assembled a cleaning system, I draw conclusions.

Two coils of a pipe of 25 meters each, dozens of fittings, a bunch of connections and branches that are understandable only to me... I hope that all this work was not in vain.

Friends, I am glad to welcome you to my channel. You can already see the "light at the end of the tunnel" called: cleaning system in my house. And today I want to talk about one of its main components ...

HDPE pipes.

I chose this option based on the clear advantages:

βœ” Easy to install. No special tools, just hands and one plastic wrench.

βœ” Upgradeability is very important. Especially when the whole construction is a complete improvisation.

βœ” Efficiency is what you need. A slightly sloppy appearance does not matter (for me personally), especially in the basement.

But at the end of the work, a significant minus came out.

I am not in the habit of counting money at every stage of construction. But here, even without calculations, it is clear that I spent a lot.

  • The pipe itself is not that expensive (25-meter bay, about 900 rubles)
  • instagram viewer
  • And the fittings are just gold. From 100 to 200 rubles apiece, which was... I don't know how many exactly, about 30-40 pieces, probably.
A construction made of polypropylene pipes would have come out several times cheaper, even taking into account the purchase of a soldering iron (moreover in the house itself, it will still be necessary to lay polypropylene, so it will still be needed).

Well, okay, nowhere without errors.

The main thing is that this does not affect the efficiency of the system, and everything works as it should.
