Russia wants to ban plastic dishes and cotton swabs at the legislative level
About the desire to prohibit the use of colored plastic, plastic dishes, plastic sticks, as well as cotton sticks directly at the legislative level became known from the message of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation IN. Abramenko.
This became known from her message, sounded at the ninth Nevsky International Environmental Forum. It was reported that amendments to the legislation are already being worked out, which will prohibit the use of non-recyclable, and also hard-to-remove materials such as colored plastic, plastic tubes, cotton swabs and disposable dishes.
In addition, it is planned to reuse at least 50% of secondary raw materials from waste in construction, agriculture, and industry. Thus, by 2030 it is planned to reduce the volume of burial by at least two times.
In addition, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia A. Kozlov said that the ministry is preparing an expanded list of goods, as well as packaging made from non-degradable plastic. This list is being prepared in order to plan the possibility of promptly introducing a ban on their production.
Thus, our authorities are planning to reduce the level of environmental pollution with a rather dangerous type of waste such as plastic. Of course, the ban is dictated by good intentions, but how it will affect the cost of other goods, the question is open.
After all, it will not be a big discovery to think that our manufacturers have been shifting all their costs onto the end user for a long time.
And I'm afraid in this case there will be no exception if the Government obliges to use more expensive packaging (degradable and easily recyclable), then the rise in production costs will again be shifted onto the shoulders buyers.
Well, let's see how the proposed ban will affect the environment and what will happen in the end. I ask you to express my personal opinion in the comments, but if you liked the material, then rate it and do not forget to subscribe so as not to miss new useful and interesting materials.
