In addition, salicylic acid is able to actively suppress fungal diseases such as verticillosis, late blight and fusarium. Plants themselves produce salicylic acid, but in small quantities. And when the garden crop is stressed, the production of salicylic acid is minimized.

Aspirin replenishes the deficiency of salicylic acid in the plant and allows it to effectively resist pathogenic fungi, some types of harmful insects, as well as tolerate drought, sudden changes in temperature and other adverse weather conditions.

How to use aspirin in the garden

The drug is applied in the form of root and foliar dressing, and is also used for seed treatment and rooting of seedlings.

• For seed treatment, it is necessary to dilute 1 tablet (500 mg) in 1 liter of water. Then soak the seed for 8-10 hours in this solution. Presowing seed treatment is recommended for eggplants, peppers, tomatoes and other members of the nightshade family.

• Salicylic acid is a powerful root stimulant. For rooting cuttings, it is recommended to dissolve 1 tablet in 250 ml of water. Place the cuttings in the solution for 2-3 hours. It is necessary to process the cuttings just before planting.

• For root feeding, dissolve 2 500 mg aspirin tablets in 500 ml of warm water. Further, this volume must be diluted in 10 liters of water. Water the cucumbers and tomatoes with the solution once every three weeks throughout the season. Apply 1 liter of solution under each bush.
• Foliar top dressing (spraying) is carried out as follows. For 5 liters of water, you need to dilute 1 tablet (500 mg) of aspirin and 50 grams of laundry soap (soap acts as an "adhesive"). Spray once every 10-14 days. The procedure is carried out either in the morning, but after the dew has dried; or in the evening from 17 to 20 hours.
