How to feed raspberries in June to get 2 times more harvest. Other activities

click fraud protection

In June, my raspberries grew a lot, I missed the moment of harvesting the young growth in the spring. Therefore, you have to remove it in June. There should be no more than 15-20 shoots per 1 m2. If the plantings are thickened, this will create shading, this plant loves light. Air must circulate between the shoots so that fungal diseases do not arise.

At this time, the raspberries need to be well fed; on hot days, watering is required.

Watering

On dry and hot days, watering is carried out 2-3 times a week. On rainy days, therefore, no moisture is required.

Top dressing

For feeding, you can use organics and mineral complexes. In June, it blooms profusely, fruits are tied. Raspberries respond well to the introduction of superphosphate into the soil.

In the spring, I applied nitrogen fertilizers (solution from chicken manure) to build up the green mass. She developed well in June.

You can fertilize raspberries with a balanced complex, for example, nitroammophos with the NPK formula 16:16:16. You will need 20-30 grams of fertilizer per 1 running meter or 1-1.5 tablespoons of nitroammofoska per 10 liters of water.

Raspberries respond well to the introduction of superphosphate into the soil. It contains up to 1.6 percent nitrogen. During flowering, raspberries require more phosphorus and potassium than nitrogen.

You should take 2 tbsp for a bucket of water. tablespoons of superphosphate, that is, 35 grams of fertilizer. Previously, the substance must be dissolved in a small amount of hot water, then the mixture must be poured into a bucket of water.

Pour up to 5 liters of solution under each bush. After a week of feeding with superphosphate (if it is double superphosphate, then the fertilizer application rate should be reduced by 2 times).

Protectionfrom diseases and pests

The main pests on raspberries are weevils, gall midges, raspberry beetles, aphids, raspberry flies, spider mites, and glass cases. For example, a weevil (a beetle with a long proboscis) mainly harms in the spring, in the budding phase it lays the larvae in the buds. Raspberry gall midge flies during flowering bushes (May-July). Lays eggs on shoots, after 8-10 days larvae appear.

Adults of glass moths lay their eggs on the ground, at the base of the stems. Formed caterpillars grind numerous passages in the stems and roots of plants.

For insect control, both biological and chemical agents can be used.

In early spring, I process the bushes with a Bordeaux mixture using a 3% solution. I spray from pests with Fufanon or Alatar.

Bioinsecticides can be used against insects and ticks: Fitoverm, Aktofit. With large lesions, they may be ineffective. But their plus is that the last processing is done shortly before picking the berries.
