A situation when pumping out a septic tank does not help (4 solutions)

At the dacha, in a private house, sewage treatment plants (cesspool, septic tank) are being built. Such situations often occur: the cesspool no longer absorbs liquid, a blockage appears, the pipeline is damaged, etc.

Let's figure out what to do and why it happens.

How is a septic tank usually done? A pit is being dug. So that the earth does not crumble, the walls are covered with bricks, slate, tires, and concrete rings are installed. In this way, 90% of septic tanks are built. Some people buy ready-made plastic septic tanks.

Someone makes side holes for water drainage, some forget about it. As a result, the pit becomes silted up and the water does not leave. The system stops working.

The very first thing to do is check for blockages. If everything is in order, then you need to pump out the hole. Sometimes after 3-4 days the pit is filled again and you have to call the pumping machine again. So you can't save any money!

1. The simplest thing that will help against silting and frequent pumping is a mechanical cleaning method. The procedure is not pleasant, but if you need to fix the situation quickly and without spending, then you can pump out the hole and scoop out all the silt with a bucket.

2. Alternatively, there are cesspool bacteria commercially available. They simplify the maintenance of the sewer. They break down waste and recycle it. Waste sinks to the bottom. The main plus: elimination of unpleasant odors. Minus: the drug does not work in cold weather. Bacteria need a positive temperature (not lower than plus 10 g.).

3. If you want the pit to always work properly, do this. Dig another hole nearby. Wall slate and metal frame. You can lay it out with bricks and leave gaps between them. Connect two pits with a pipe (at least 10-15 cm. from the main pipe).

Concrete the bottom of the first, main pit. But the bottom of the second one should be filled with pebbles or rubble. Such a system causes less damage to the environment and you can forget about pumping for many years.

4. It can be made easier. Dig a second hole (50 cm deep) at the end of the site. Buy a special pump. It costs between 2000-3000 rubles. Pump out the contents of the septic tank as needed into a small pit. My father did this for me and now he does not spend money for pumping out.
