A cleaver with rollers that does not get stuck, and it is much easier for them to chop wood

My childhood and youth were spent in the village, where houses are still heated with wood. Although there is a coal mine nearby, only a few people use coal, who added a furnace to the house and made a water heating system. Therefore, everyone knows how to chop wood. There is a cleaver in every courtyard. This is such a blunt ax with a large angle of the piercing part (I explain for young people).

It is especially easy to prick in frost when the moisture in the wood is frozen. But it happened that it got stuck in uneven fibers. It turns out that in Soviet times, a cleaver with rollers was produced, which reduce the friction of metal in wood, and at the same time it becomes easier to chop wood.

The rollers are not located on the same axis, but off-center. Therefore, each roller works only on its side, reducing friction.

A cleaver of this design appeared sometime in 1988. and was produced for several years. But it was not widely used. All due to the fact that the videos took off. The cleaver was often not enough for 10-12 m3 of firewood. The idea is interesting, but requires some work - the axles had to be made with a larger diameter so that they would not break.

Inside the cleaver, there are levers on both sides, which abut against the wood and at the same time push the logs in different directions with their second edge.
