A corridor, at the sight of which your acquaintances, perhaps, involuntarily exclaim "Wow". 6 cool ideas to follow
It is unclear, but for some reason many people repair and decorate the corridor in their apartment on a leftover basis. Using inexpensive finishing materials, simple furniture and some minimal decor. Moreover, often the situation in it is in no way interconnected with the rest of the interior of the house. But this is wrong and extremely irrational!
Good afternoon dear friends!
After all, this is the second space in the apartment (after the hallway), which meets the guests of your house, it is through it that you pass several dozen times a day, moving from one room to another; most likely, this is where you store most of your seasonal outerwear, etc. That is, there are so many functions, but the attitude is mediocre? This cannot continue! It's time to change your approach and make the corridor a functional, stylish and comfortable space that rivals other rooms in your home.
How to do it and what must be taken into account when arranging this non-residential premises, I will try to tell you in this material.
1.Ceiling cabinet with decorative niche. Some place a wardrobe in the hallway, trying to make the most of all the space they have. And this is correct, but only if they provide in advance elements that can add visual interest to the space. That is, they try to make one or two open shelves in the closet, which will serve as a "decorative basis" for indoor plants, family photos or small knick-knacks.
Not forgetting at the same time about decorative lighting that can highlight memorable gizmos.
2.Graphic floor as a bright touch. Do you want to change the atmosphere in the corridor, add an original decorative touch to its furnishings? No problem! It is only necessary to add a "pair" of colored dies when laying the floor covering (block parquet, parquet board, laminate). The color of which you will then be sure to repeat in other parts of the room. This will allow you to competently complete the design composition.
For example, shades can be used as accents on interior elements, furniture and accessories.
3.Wallpaper in perspective. Annoyed by the size of the corridor? Does it seem to you that it is long, narrow, uninteresting? Do not be discouraged ahead of time, as its configuration can be changed, if not physically, then at least visually. To do this, you need to decorate a small section of the wall with wallpaper depicting a forest, field or water surface. And then place a large stylish mirror in front of them. Actually, that's it!
This technique will allow you to add depth to the space, "breaking" the existing structure.
4.Living room, not a hallway. Do you have a tiny one-room apartment that has no room for a living room? Well, it's okay, since it can be done right in the corridor by placing a table, a couple of armchairs, a carpet with an original pattern and a lush houseplant that can help you put a bold point in the design premises.
But keep in mind: to make this idea a reality, you must have a fairly wide dead-end corridor, decorated in a neutral color palette (gray, beige ...). Otherwise, you will not be able to make a cozy corner for meetings.
5.A bold symbiosis of color and mirror. I am sure you are aware that they try not to use dark colors when decorating small rooms. And the corridor is no exception. But you want to leave a vivid impression of your home, don't you? So I propose to take a chance and paint the walls of the corridor in an unusual bold shade, for example, in dark blue. At the same time, in order to compensate for the consequences of a non-trivial technique, you need to do two things - add a mirror to the entire wall and increase the brightness of the lighting fixtures.
As a result, your corridor will make an unforgettable impression not only on the guests, but also on the household members of your house when they first cross its threshold.
6.Timeless color to expand space. You don't have a family, children, pets yet, and you are a pedant? Wonderful! Try white for the hallway. Walls, ceiling, doors, furniture pieces, etc. This 100% will allow you to make it a truly highlight of your home, which friends and colleagues will gossip about every time they see you.
But so that your corridor is not too sterile and dull, you need to add bright colors and interesting patterns to its decoration. For example, tiles with a graphic pattern, black and white wallpaper with a beautiful print, a bright bouquet of dried flowers and etc. All this will allow you to revive the interior of the corridor, stylishly completing your cool design idea.
