In Dubai, many private houses are even smaller than ours, but they are not valued for their size.
Arriving in Dubai, I expected to see world-famous skyscrapers. In fact, it turned out that high-rise buildings are only a small part of the city, and most residents prefer detached houses, which are proudly called villas here, even if it is even a rather simple house.
Modest villas in Dubai are townhouses where one house is "attached" to another and has a common wall with it. Such buildings are always located inside large complexes, and residents choose not the number of meters, but their lifestyle. These are closed communities, where only the owner or the invitee can enter. There is no extra transport, but there are small parks, walking paths, swimming pools, children's areas, often bicycle tracks, football, tennis, volleyball grounds. Here you can let your child go for a walk alone or with friends and not worry about his safety.
The houses themselves, externally and internally, look quite simple, all have a typical design. Standard is a three bedroom villa. On the ground floor there is a small living room, a separate kitchen and a guest toilet. On the second floor there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The highlight of all villas in Dubai is the obligatory presence of either a study room (a room for classes) or a maid room (a room for a maid). For families with children, this place is reserved for a nanny or housekeeper, sometimes it can be converted into an office or an additional mini-bedroom.
Unlike us, in Dubai there is no concept of "European-quality renovation", and most people live in houses with finishing from the developer. This is usually the same ceramic floor tiles throughout the house, painted walls, neutral tones in bathrooms and a built-in kitchen. It is extremely rare to find owners who have remade everything to their taste. True, the walls are repainted quite often - once a year or two.
In my opinion, the most pleasant bonus is that each villa has its own, albeit small, but its own piece of land, the so-called garden or garden, where you can put a gazebo, hammock, children's swing or trampoline, have a barbecue or just admire a garden created in your own way taste.
I was amazed to learn that such townhouses cost from $ 500,000. dollars. Where do people get so much money? The whole city is in such buildings! It turned out that almost all of them were bought on credit. Interest rates are low here, and the down payment is only 25%. As a result, loan payments are even lower than rental rates.
What do you prefer - an apartment in a skyscraper or a cozy house with a garden?
