The method is not new, but not too common

“One inveterate tourist who spends every summer on foot travels across the vast expanses of our homeland told me about this method of lighting fires. On long hikes, rainy weather often falls and there are problems with finding a dry yard. And in order to ignite the damp branches, a gel of laundry soap and gasoline is used. This is a kind of analogue of napalm - condensed gasoline.
It is done very simply. To make it, you need two and a half pieces of laundry soap, 1 liter of gasoline, a grater, a funnel and a 1.5 liter plastic bottle with a lid.
The soap must be grated on a coarse grater and poured into the bottle through a funnel. It will turn out to be about ¾ of the volume of the bottle. Next, pour gasoline using a funnel. Pour not to the very top, but at the level of three centimeters from the bottom of the bottle neck.
After that, screw the cap back on and shake the contents of the bottle well. Leave to infuse for a day. At the end of the day, the concentrated ignition gel is ready and you can use it! "
How to use pocket napalm
It's pretty simple to use. It is necessary to squeeze out a little gel from the bottle, distribute / spread over the wood and set it on fire. The gel ignites instantly and produces a stable high temperature flame. Gives off black smoke when burning. The tool effectively ignites firewood, and itself completely burns out in 7-10 minutes.
For lighting the barbecue, a concentrated gel of soap and gasoline is also suitable. Do not be afraid of acrid smoke. When the gel burns out, the smoke and pungent secretions will disappear, and the wood or coals will burn, just like after a regular ignition.
Gel differs from rapidly flammable ignition fluids in that it does not emit vapors that can flare up dangerously. This greatly reduces the chances of getting burned. And also this tool is very economical. One and a half liter bottle of concentrated gel can be enough for 40-50 strokes.
