In the summer, my car is at a self-service car wash. Located not far from home, the cost to wash a car is 3-4 times lower (in my body). The cost of a minute was 10 rubles. I usually fit in 12-15 minutes. And then you drive off to the site and wipe the interior and body. The cost of a vacuum cleaner is 50 rubles / service. And often, on weekends, there were even queues at the car wash.

Last week, when I came here again, I was surprised that there was no queue. And I didn't immediately notice the new banners:

I could not find the water and foam button. There was no administrator either. Other drivers explained that the car wash now operates through a mobile app.

The car was already in the box, the rugs were placed on clothespins on the wall - I decided to try this digitalization here as well. I found the application by the logo (there were several MOUSAM applications in the PlayMarket), installed it. The program asked to link a bank card. I did that too. Next, on the city map, I chose the car wash where I was (there are only six of them so far). I saw that the cost of a minute increased and now is

RUB 15 And the minimum limit is set at RUB 75 (5 minutes). I chose the box number and clicked "enable".

I noticed that the fastening of the hoses was moved to the ceiling. Previously, they clung to the tires and had to be straightened, tightened. And the foam remained the same liquid. Got it in 13 minutes - it was immediately debited from the card 195 RUB

After paying, I realized why there is no queue at the self-service car wash. Not everyone has a desire to link a bank card. And not everyone has it (young people, for example). The cost of washing a car in the back of a sedan with your own hands is almost equal to the cost of washing it at a regular car wash. There is a benefit only for SUVs (SUVs, SUVs).

It costs 400-450 rubles to wash my car in a regular car wash. (top and rugs). Here I save half the cost (more before).

But sedans and station wagons were still here. There were many free waiting areas. While he was wiping the body, the administrator nevertheless appeared. Accepted payment for using the vacuum cleaner. He informed that soon the vacuum cleaner will be automated too.

Why did the self-service car wash switch to work via a mobile application? No administrator - more profit for the organization. It's like at a self-service gas station - but there the cost of fuel is lower. And here the cost of the service, on the contrary, increased. I think this was done in order to reduce the queue.
