As for me, every year I do some activities that allow me to harvest cucumbers much longer than my neighbors.

The second crop cannot boast of an abundance in comparison with the first, but it still suffices.

Tips for extending the fruiting period of a crop:
Remove fruits on time. This is a very important condition, because cucumbers outgrow and absorb a large amount of nutrients that could be used to form new ovaries.

Here it is also worth taking into account that those cucumbers that have grown are not tasty and are not suitable for canning.

Rejuvenate plants. This is a significant event. It doesn't take much effort here. It's just that all the yellowed, dried, and containing signs of the disease are cut off.

Those that are located below the fruiting area are also eliminated. Given that cucumbers are light-loving plants, then such a procedure will benefit them, because it will thin out the plantings, which will open up light access to the bushes.

This will improve aeration and reduce the risk of rot development.
Let the stem down. This procedure is very important to ensure enhanced plant nutrition.

The stems of the cucumbers should be lowered so that they touch the ground. Then sprinkle it with fertile soil and water abundantly.

As a result, additional root branches are formed in the crop, which will allow the plant to better absorb nutrients from the soil.

Fertilization. Top dressing is required for additional nutrition of the soil, which is already depleted. Foliar application of fertilizers is necessary in order to protect plants from certain diseases.

Mulching. Required to protect the roots of cucumbers from low temperatures and for additional soil nutrition.
