The infection clung, which varieties of tomatoes have resisted
The infection is called dry spotting, it is also Alternaria. There is such a mushroom, Alternaria solani. The situation is still normal, fruiting continues.
What does full-time mean? You know, wolves always follow a herd of reindeer, from time to time they drive the herd and eat the stragglers. Because we were weak. Similarly, my fungus found someone to eat.
Of more than 100 varieties of tomatoes this season, on August 9, one was untouchable for the fungus:
He has not yet given a single ripe tomato, so his immunity, of course, is higher than that of the bushes that have given part of the harvest. Seedlings were on March 28, more than 4 months have passed, such a long-thinking bush. He has green fruits, they are hiding. Still would! There are enough leaves.
There are several quite resistant varieties, I will show you the best ones. I removed the affected leaves. Therefore, the baldness of the bush clearly shows how stable it is.
Large-fruited tomatoes and alternaria
Almost all large-fruited tomatoes in the greenhouse have exposed the lower half. The fruits have been removed from the bottom. This has weakened the nourishment of the lower leaves, and this is the result. In the open field, the losses are less, but the beefs certainly had a dry spot of 1 to 10 leaves.
I have 33 large-fruited red varieties, and yellow ones, and with them bicolors, 15.
And so, with such a pattern (all beefs are weak for dry spotting), one bush in a large greenhouse (6 x 4 m) almost did not suffer. This is General Grant's Lambert, an old variety (late 19th century, USA). I didn’t succeed in harvesting it, perhaps it wasn’t overworked, so the immunity is high.
The Black Heart with a nose holds well:
There are also three red beefs planted later, they are in a small greenhouse, just starting to blush, they have removed some leaves with spots of fungus. If you don't know it, they are all in foliage.
Varieties: Japanese, Fresa and Vater Rein (shoots on April 27 for all three).
Let me remind you that I cut these leaves:
And in a small greenhouse, the bicolor Mammoth is German golden (shoots on March 16), she removed more leaves on it, but still all foliage.
Cherry and dry spot
Cherry, a total of 8 varieties, suffered even more large-fruited. Against this background, Blush distinguished himself, not perfect, but not bald!
Let me remind you that I removed the leaves, therefore, according to the degree of baldness of the bush, it is quite possible to see its resistance to the disease.
In second place is the clever Atomic Grape Breda.
Distinguished in a good way Dzy-Yu-Dzy-Bi-Yu. I am writing about him a little apart. The fruits are in simple clusters, small balls, but the taste is tomato, and not sweet, as is usually the case with cherry. She removed a few of the lower leaves from him, just as she did not remove:
What other varieties of tomatoes are resistant
I could not check the resistance to other fungal diseases, the mushrooms did not clear up. I think it would be the same with other fungal diseases.
Therefore, the competition for the healthiest is not entirely fair. Just wondering!
The smallest number of lesions with Alternaria in the open field in varieties:
Large reds from Borisovna (beef)
Sergeant Pepper
Siberian malachite
Linnaeus's heart
Non-violet strawberry (beef)
Potato raspberry (beef)
And in conclusion, I will show a tomato in a bucket, which gave the first crop, I slowly deprived it of yellow leaves, without dry spotting, and now it has completely new foliage and flowers for the second wave harvest! What such a fungus is, he does not know!
Wrote about him here
While I was writing, 2 days have passed, today there is a very small "harvest" of leaves with a fungus, although it is raining, a joy for all mushrooms. I poured Alirin B and Gamair only today (400 ml each). Before that, I did not do anything except pruning.
If you show your varieties that are resistant to dry spot in the comments, it will be great!
I would be grateful for your subscription and communication :)
