My Mammoth German Golden - excellent tomato
The envelope contained a postcard from March 8 and only these 6 tomato seeds. Grade Mammoth German Gold. The author sent them to me here on this page in Odnoklassniki He is an enthusiastic person with a large collection of tomatoes, but he will not start advertising his favorites in any way. He made greenhouses with his own hands, global ones, now he grows them. Well, even though I said a word for him.
So, what grew from a seed from a tomato weighing 1 kg 17 g?
She wrote about how he was in seedlings here By the way, there is a link to a collector's article with an error 404, I think they removed it, because he did not write anything for a long time.
I've already shot a few things, and here's the first main crop on August 25:
5 largest:
And the rest:
I took off almost 4 kg at a time, and they are still growing.
What are they Mammoths German gold
My taste turned out to be not outstanding, but pleasantly balanced, at five with a minus sign. Tasting more than a hundred of your varieties will inevitably become picky.
- She gave free rein to the bush, did not remove the stems, grew a meter and a half in a greenhouse with shading
- The fruits are cracking, but not to the point of disgrace, large ones were removed whole for ripening to keep them from cracking
- The color, you can see in the photo: overflows of yellow and pink, each fruit in a different proportion
- Glossy
- I didn't have a scent, maybe I take it off early, for the scent bicolors need full maturation on the bush
- The shape walks a little, but mostly flattened neat
- There is a penchant for green shoulders, uncritical
Have you grown this variety? What did you think of it?
I would be grateful for your subscription and communication :)
