Is it decent to give guests paper towels, as the woman advises in the comments

Recently, in the comments to one of my articles, a reader suggested that when visiting, she does not know which of her friend's sons wiped it off with a cloth towel and which part of the body, for example, the bottom. And she was offered it for the face. Therefore, she herself offers her guests only paper towels and considers it polite and decent.

Let's put ourselves in the place of a guest

Of course, there is logic in her reasoning, this is undoubtedly. But I immediately imagined how I come to visit, and they give me a paper towel and liquid soap on a personal basis. This is somehow humiliating, my dears. Yes, I don't even want to go to such guests. What will be the mood when you are considered worthy of only a paper towel?

Of course, I wouldn’t show it, and probably even praised the hostess for such prudence, because times are now such that people are afraid of each other. But in my soul, although I am not a two-faced person, a sediment would remain for a long time. And I concluded: I will NEVER come to the point of offering my guests paper towels.

I always have ironed, clean towels in a pile. I, in general, iron all linen, although this is a topic for another conversation. And for the guests, of course, I allocate new, not washed, neatly folded, fragrant towels from a pile.

No decent hotel will offer you paper towels, so are you going to give such rubbish to guests at home?

Paper towels - are they needed?

I use paper towels all the time. You can't do without them in the kitchen, although I also use cloth towels, which I wash and iron as well.

But with paper it is much more convenient to wipe up some drops, puddles. Without them, you cannot wipe the glass-ceramic hob to a shine.

You can always buy them for a special offer, for example, in Pyaterochka very often they are “two for the price of one”. Of course, this is a commercial move, not two, but nevertheless, it is much cheaper than taking without a share.

So my point is that you shouldn't go overboard with new products, but you should use them wisely along with proven old things.

And if you are afraid that a friend will slip you a towel with which her son used to wipe his ass, as the reader writes, then maybe she is not your friend at all?

Then the bed linen should be offered to guests as disposable from the pharmacy. After all, who knows what you were doing on that bed linen that you slip your guests? This, of course, is sarcasm, but the logic is clear ...
