Bought six large concrete rings for a septic tank. I tell you how I brought everything in one flight

After erecting the walls and roof of the house, I decided to dig in a septic tank. Although, this had to be done before the construction of the house and by now there would have been no trace of the earthwork.

I chose the design of the septic tank from concrete rings with two sections (with overflow). Before buying them, I talked with an excavator operator, who offered not only to dig a trench and a foundation pit, but also to install rings immediately with an excavator. I knew that in the village he did so many things, he has experience.

Each section will have three rings and small ring top necks, plus caps. If you keep all this volume, then you need to order a semi-trailer and a crane (or a truck with a manipulator). In addition, it is difficult for a long-legged vehicle to enter the site. Or deliver by two or three flights with a smaller car.

I decided to do it differently. For the first section of the septic tank, purchase rings with a diameter of 2 m, and for the second - 1.5 m. The necks are 0.7 m each. Thus, everything can be taken away in a ten-ton truck with a manipulator (thief) like a nesting doll. Smaller rings fit freely inside larger ones.

Acquired rings 0.9 m in height at a large-scale production. Prices for concrete products remained virtually unchanged. Although, at the peak of the season, the products of the plant are sold like hot cakes. I even had to wait in line for loading.

It was clear that the concrete in the rings was quite fresh, probably not even a week old. Therefore, the rings were loaded and then unloaded carefully. In the same place, I immediately acquired polymer-sand hatches.

The sight of the rings loaded into the truck was not photographed. But in the back they were laid with a "matryoshka" like this:

Delivery cost (one trip) with unloading - 10 thous. rub. Last year, the same truck delivered floor slabs. For the flight then gave 8 thousand. rub.

I did not consider a septic tank with a biological treatment station. In our climate, this aerator for bacteria does not work, it freezes over. And this installation is more expensive than digging in sections of rings. I will announce the cost of a septic tank in a separate article, where I will show the installation.

In conclusion, I will summarize: if someone will mount a septic tank from concrete rings with two sections, then to save on delivery, purchase rings of different diameters (2 m and 1.5 m). Delivery will be "matryoshka" and they will all fit in the back of a KAMAZ or another 10 t truck with a manipulator. The main thing is that the body is at least 7-8 m long.

Someone will say that rings of the same diameter can be put one on top of the other in the body (in two rows) and brought in at low speed. Yes, you can. But this is not safe (especially during emergency braking). DPS, if stopped, will definitely be fined.

The section of rings with a diameter of 1.5 m will have an overflow. There will be no bottom and the water will drain. Therefore, there is not much difference whether this section is 2 m or 1.5 m in diameter.
