Not like everyone else! 6 cool wall decor ideas with paint
Do you know how to quickly turn boring and banal into bright and unforgettable? That's right - you just need to recolor or paint! And it doesn't matter what "it" will be: a piece of furniture, an element of the interior, or a whole room. The result is the same - "this" takes on a completely new, sometimes even unique look!
Good afternoon dear friends!
But don't be fooled into thinking that coloring is simple and cheap. For to achieve the best result, you will have to work hard! For example, to repaint the walls and ceiling in a room, you first need to make their surface almost perfect, since any paint will reveal all the irregularities on the wall, and this is not easy! Then you will need to pick up the paint, which is also not so easy to do. Everyone has pros and cons, whether it is Tex or Tikkurila, Dufa, Marshall... Then choose a color palette of about 180 shades. And only then it will be possible to start working.
This is where she can come in handy 6 examples of unusual interesting wall patternswhich I have prepared for you.
1.Arched decor. A pattern that gives depth and architectural zest to the interior. To apply it to the wall, you will need to take a thread or thin rope. Then fix one end of it on the wall, and attach a pencil to the second, and how to draw a semicircle with a compass. Depending on your artistic idea, the size of the wall and the location of the decor, you can draw one, two or several arches.
This decoration works best in the living room on the wall behind the sofa, at the head of the bed, or in the dining area in the kitchen.
2.Geometric pattern. An unusual solution for a child's room, which allows not only to turn boring into original, but also to add colors to the interior. It is as easy as shelling pears to apply such geometric shapes to the wall, you just need to use masking tape to paint the resulting "shapes" with paint. Use neutral colors (white, light green, light gray, or blue) as the main background.
But make the triangles bright (orange, yellow or red). This will add dynamics and life to the children's space.
3.Two-color painting. This method allows you to quickly update the interior. To bring it to life, first select a paint with an interesting shade, then draw a horizontal line across the entire wall / walls and only then paint over the bottom of it.
Do you want the interior to look more voluminous and more interesting? No problem! Use moldings or empty picture frames. Stick them on the wall before painting so that they join both painted surfaces. And so, that's it!
4.Striped image. I am sure that you have rarely seen horizontal stripes in the interior. And all due to the fact that such a pattern tends to "lower" the ceiling in the room, pushing it wider. What is not needed in our typical apartments! But if you are lucky enough to become the owner of an apartment in which the ceiling height is 3.50 and higher, then why not use this idea.
It looks very unusual, especially if the stripes are wide and made with bright contrasting colors.
5.Gradient painting. An extremely fashionable solution that can add visual interest and uniqueness to any space. So, for a gradient coloring, you need three shades of the same color and two additional tones, which are obtained by mixing a dark shade with a medium and medium with a light one. Colors are applied in order from the darkest at the bottom to the lightest at the top. Until the paint has dried, the borders between the tones are blended with vertical brush strokes.
Please note that the gradient can be pronounced, for example, if you use dark, medium and light tones on one wall, or weakly expressed, almost invisible, in this case, use one medium shade and a couple light.
6.Marble decor. It is always expensive and rich! By the way, such a pattern is a little more difficult to make than a gradient. Here, too, you need three paints for the marble that you want to reproduce on your walls, for example, cream, beige and gray or several shades of green. The paint must be applied diagonally, alternating among themselves in random order. After drying, the boundaries between the flowers are erased by dipping a piece of faux fur into the paint.
The decor ends with the application of veins. They are drawn with a thin painting brush or a bird's pen. In the latter case, the pattern is more natural.
