The neighbor says: "You shouldn't have cut down all the trees on the site, they are very useful." Let me explain why I think differently.

As soon as I began to develop my overgrown area, I demolished all the trees under a clean one. And a neighbor built a house in the middle of the forest... Who was guided by what, and on whose side is the truth?

Friends, huge hello to everyone. More than three years have passed since I cut the first tree in my overgrown area, in the process of cleaning it.

There were thickets all around ...

This is how my path as a self-builder began. Over time, even somehow you start to forget about everything, and I can't believe that so much has already passed and done.

But new neighbors allow you to look at everything from the outside ...

When you already have a house, then with some special nostalgia you look at how people are just leveling the site.

✅ But one of my closest neighbors (behind the fence) decided not to bother with this. He removed all the extra shrubs and small trees, and left the large trees. And it turns out, I put a small house in the middle of the forest.

For me, this decision was at least unusual. And I decided to ask why he did this?

And in response, I got several reasons:

• Drainage of soil is a useful property of many trees. And with such a high level of groundwater, as at our sites, it will be very useful.
• You don't need to spend money on digging. When you are going to build a house, then unnecessary expenses in the first stages are useless. And if anything, then you can thin out this forest
• Special atmosphere of the park, tenek all this is also to the liking of the neighbor, therefore it is a pleasant addition.

There is logic and meaning in all this, but I have a different vision ...

I understand that if you have, roughly speaking, a hectare of land, then these trees really look and complement the site.

✔️ But on such small plots as ours (mine is 8 acres, and my neighbor has 16), it seems to me that this only takes up space.

✔️ In this case, large trees can simply crowd out other smaller plants.

✔️ Interference with communications is one of the major reasons. Not only do you think how to carry everything underground everywhere, but also to bypass the roots of trees? I don't need this "fun".

✔️ At the same time, no one canceled the distance from the fence to large trees of 3 meters.

✔️ A bunch of leaves in the fall. Not to mention that some good wind can put a tree on your house.

✔️ And I don't need shade, I want more sun.

All this in total does not in any way cause a desire to leave, or then plant large trees on the site.

In my opinion, for decoration and a special atmosphere, small ornamental plants that can be inserted into any area are ideal.
