Formal performance of work is more typical for a hired worker who does not care about you and your home. Especially when pouring the screed: the main thing is that the outside is beautiful. But when you do it for yourself, you treat every element with attention.

Although, of course, there is sometimes a temptation to make everything easier and easier.

Especially when you can find a lot of examples on the Internet, where people do not bother, and may not at all put reinforcement, putting forward an iron, and always a working argument: "I always do this and that's all Great".

As an example of a screed, without reinforcement. I took it from "Yandex-pictures" for clarity.

But even worse is putting the reinforcement mesh so that it doesn't work.

And there are many such examples. This is the formal performance of the work, the money has been spent but there is no sense.

The mesh is simply rolled out over the surface and poured over with a solution. What is the use of it if the eye is not in the body of the screed ???

Although, there is no problem to do everything efficiently ...

When doing the screed in my house, I proceeded as follows:

✔️ At first, I simply rolled the mesh on the floor, tied the pieces of honey with myself, thereby forming a single canvas.

✔️ Then I put the beacons on the solution (it was quite thick), and immediately in these places raised the reinforcing mesh above the floor surface, fixing it in the bloopers.

✔️ The next day, after everything dried up, in the intervals between the beacons, he placed special stands for the reinforcement.

At first I thought that they would interfere with movement on the floor, but there were absolutely no problems.

✔️ Well, while pouring the screed, the main thing is to control everything.

• First, I used a vibrator for better flow and filling. This already helps the solution get under the reinforcement.
• And sometimes he lifted the mesh directly with his hand so that it entered the plane of the screed.

All of these points are not difficult, but effective.

And after doing the hard work, you will be sure that you have done the maximum for the longevity of your floor.
