“I figured out how to protect the tree from wiring fire” - How do you like the idea?
It was necessary to "throw" the wiring for lighting on the wooden ceiling, which will be "sewn up" with plasterboard. It is clear that the currents there are minimal, and the machines are still there, but I decided to play it safe. Automation sometimes fails, additional protection will not interfere.
Suggested option
Did to relatives, one of the relatives suggested not to bother and lay the wire in a corrugation or box, like they do not support combustion.
I had to demonstrate how a corrugated tube burns. She easily caught the flame from the lighter, and cheerfully caught fire, dropping molten, fiery drops. The proposer's eyes widened, with a plastic box, the same will happen, I say.
A simple solution
I came up with the idea of protecting the tree with metal, but, so that without any special problems, I remembered that there is an aluminum tape, which is used to seal joints in places with extreme temperatures.
Flammability check
To my surprise, if I set fire to the tape from the edge, it lights up with and without paper, when there is no paper - glue burns. But, naturally, there will be no such conditions! And here the flame from the aluminum side, the tape withstands with a bang, the heat is dissipated over the metal, preventing even the paper from igniting on the back side.
Application
Then I added another strip on the sides, now I will sleep peacefully.
