I decided to give the furniture from the apartment for free, which I greatly regretted
A year ago, we moved from a city to a village nearby, where we built a separate house. But their apartment has not yet been sold, because there are all the things that have not been transported to the new house, because we have not completely finished finishing. In addition, we accommodated visiting builders in the apartment, sometimes guests spent the night there when there was very little furniture in the house.
And finally, they began to prepare the apartment for sale. Of course, some of the furniture just needs to be thrown away. For example, a child's wall in a son's room, which is more than 30 years old, she passed to him from an older sister. It was used, of course, in the most barbaric childish ways, so it is no good.
But, before throwing it away, I thought it would be better to give it to someone. After all, many parents cannot afford to buy a shelf for their child, let alone a wall. In the wall there is a wardrobe, a secretaire, a bookcase. And even a pull-out desk, which, of course, my kids didn't use. It is for little kids.
And I advertised on VKontakte that I would give the furniture back, only by self-pickup. Since the apartment needs to be vacated, I gave a 2-day deadline. Several people wrote to me, especially one woman named Inna was very persistent, saying that her child lives in an empty room, there is no money. I immediately sent her pictures of the wall, especially pointing out the defects. She honestly said that the furniture is old and does not look one hundred percent.
But she was delighted, saying that everything is wonderful, that everything suits her and she will definitely pick it up in 3 days. I was imbued with her problems, agreed. After that, several more people wrote, ready to pick it up right away. But, since I promised, I refused everyone.
After 3 days, there was neither hearing nor spirit from Inna. I wrote to her in the morning 4 days, but she did not answer. Finally, by 4 pm, she showed up and expressed her displeasure that I was bothering her at work. I asked if she would take the wall? And then she said - so you bring it to me yourself, I did not find the car. I was even taken aback by such impudence. And I tell her that I have no truck and no movers, all this is included in the word "pickup", which was the only condition on my part when I wanted to give up the wall.
The girl was, either, not in the spirit, or, most likely, the first time she called me drunk, on the rise, on a high, I don't know how. But now she spoke in a completely different way. When I asked if she had furnished her son's room during these three days, she only grumbled something.
I realized that she didn’t need a wall, or, if needed, she wouldn’t hit a finger for her child. I hung up.
Fortunately, another late customer who had just seen the ad called and asked if we had returned the children's furniture. I replied that I had not yet, and again explained that the furniture was old. But the man said that it was not scary, they brought their granddaughter from the city. And there is no furniture, so for now everything will go well. He arrived half an hour later, with his wife and a young guy. They examined everything and were satisfied. And, having loaded the set into the trailer of the car, they left, leaving me another box of chocolates. She refused, but they insisted.
Well, why do you come across such pleasant, responsible and business people only after talking with an alcoholic mother, from whom a dirty sediment remained in the shower?
